Alcohol with clonazepam and remeron?? please help.?

im going out tonight with one of my girlfriends and we are going to a party. (I AM NOT A BIG DRINKER AT ALL. I RARELY EVER DRINK AND IF I DO ITS SERIOUSLY LIKE 2 DRINKS) Im taking these medicines because i have an anxiety disorder. Is it okay if I have just ONE drink while out tonight? I know "im not supposed to drink with one of the medicines bc it increases the side effects" but just one drink? will it be okay? i just want to have somewhat of a good time.

I would say if your not a heavy drinker, it shouldn't be a problem. I take it too, but I tend to drink more than what you do. I have anxiety problems also, when you drink with taking your meds the clonazepam just intensifys the alcohol that you are drinking. You will be sleepier than you would if you weren't drinking, or that's how it affects me, and I tend to get drunker than my friends do. But I don't know about that other med u take, you might look into that other one. Have a good time with your friends

Don't drink! At the risk of sounding like a public service broadcast there other ways to have a good time. I wouldn't recommend it but smoking pot is safer than drinking with anti depressants & benzos. DON'T DRINK or of you DO drink DON'T take your pills!

Took it once myself...Get off the remeron btw it is CRAP!

If you don't ordinarily drink, you are apt to get buzzed or quite drowsy off of one drink. It's unlikely one drink will kill you, but there's a fair chance it will mess up your evening. As you know, mixing a CSN depressants (alcohol and klonopin) isn't wise.

I don't know about Remeron, but on Clonazepam (in the past) 2 was my limit. I had a few at a party at my house, and fell up the steps, bruising my forehead :( and hurting my wrist!
I'd say no more than 2 for the night, with water and a snack. Beer has a high water content, so I stick with that.

It would be really unwise to drink---but you already know that, because you say, "I know I'm not supposed to drink."

One drink would not have much impact on your ability to have fun---just make up your mind to have fun without the alcohol.

Call your doc and ask if one drink will cause any problems.

Then you'll know for sure and feel better.
