That's up to you if it's ok or not. If you don't like it, talk to her about it.
My neighbor always starts with "I don't mean to complain................................… pause................but"....(and then it comes).
She's old and we just humor her.

Tell her rude butt that until the pays half of the cost of the screen she can hang her skivvies elsewhere. Besides, those wet clothes lying on the bamboo will eventually discolor it. People these days are so self-absorbed. Lucky it's not my screen or she would have found her clothes in a pile on the dirt. Good luck!

If it bothered you, and it looked tacky I would speak to her, tell her why you put it up.
It sounds like it might look like a yard sale, tell her so ,say it as nicely as possible, you don't want to have a war with your neibour.
God bless,

Well it all depends.. if you have it on the property line.. then she might think its half hers..lol if that is the case and the laundry does not bother you.. ask her to go half with you on the cost...
Now if its on your side only and you don't like it.. explain to her what it is and what its for and ask her not to do it again as you entertain a lot and it is not something you want your guests to see..
Actually, I would just go over and with kind words ask her not to do it again..
If she is older, be kind...
If she is mean, tell her to get a clothesline...

no the wet wash on the bamboo is really not good for it, we grow bamboo on my property and water doesnt do it good, it molds, splits and cracks, so I would say no.plus you can always tell her that bamboo has little bugs that can infest her clothing, and that may help, but who knows...

just let it go if you are a homeowner- fighting with neighbors is not worth it, your home should be someplace to relax - let it go. Take down your screen and put seomthing else up, ask your neighbor over for coffee and relax

Well, the moisture is not really good on your bamboo. Maybe you're gonna nicely confront her. since it is your neighbor you don't want to make her mad, she may retort.
if that doesnt work, you could call the law, & complain about it. I've seen cases like that on Peoples court. where the nieghbor did damages, & stuff.
Good luck, sounds like you're in a pickle.

What i'd do.& we've got neighbors too & we've agreed that if we do something to offend the other, (like run the lawn mower while the other one 's trying to sleep) that we'll call one another. & be "neighborly"

the law of the fences is that it belongs to no 1, so even though you paid for it she can use it. When intalling something you are better off getting your next door neighbour to help pay for it, if you dont want her hanging her clothes on it move it back a few inchs.

No. this is not O.K. Speak to her about it. If she doesn"t stop I suggest that you remove the laundry and put it a plastic bag and put it on her doorstep. I am assuming your fence is inside your property line. If so, she is trespassing and you may have some recourse under the law.

It is only okay if you allow it.
