Why do stray question marks appear in my postings??

When i post messages to my Yahoogroups they look normal. When i see them after they are transmitted (Digest format or individual emails) there are often stray question marks all over the place. They look like some kind of formatting cues, but they are VERY irritating and my group members have started to comment on them too. WHY does it DO that??!! I am using AOL to send the messages, does that have anything to do with it?

I do believe it is something in the AOL formatting. I moderate all messages in my group before approving and I have noticed that an AOL member has question marks following every end-of-sentence period.

Have you tried sending in Plain Text? I think doing that would solve the problem completely. You'll have to check the AOL help files regarding doing this.

Another thought is to set up a gmail email address and use Outlook Express or similar non-AOL mail client for sending and receiving your email (via gmail, which is free).
