Biaxin antibiotics..nausea?

Question

I've been given Biaxin for an ear infection, and it's giving m nausea PLUS my appetite is not very good since 've been taking the meds.. I'm suppose to take the meds 2 times a day with food so I don't get nauseated.. I don't know what to do.. whatever I eat or drink I'm nauseated and most of the time I am not hungry for my 2nd dose so I miss it........ I'm out of ideas!

Nausea is a very common side effect of Biaxin. If you can not take the medicine as prescribed, notify your doctor who will advise you about what to do. This is a common issue with antibiotics so your doctor should certainly not be upset and should be able to help.

Read your side effects page to determine if this is one of the side effects. Call your Doctor about the problem or speak to the Pharmacist. Frequently they can call the Dr's. office and get a change in the antibiotic.
