Vicodin Withdrawal symptom or worse?

Hi, I quit vicodin last Friday. I've been feeling much better in terms of my physical withdrawal symptoms, but since Sunday, I've had a very bad case of diarrhea. I'm so sick of it. It seems like I need to run to the bathroom every couple of hours. I know that diarrhea is a symptom of withdrawal, but this is the fifth day of having it. Is my body just trying to clean itself out, or do I have bigger problems at hand? Thanks, and I realize that taking 7 vicodins a day is no good for you. Thank God I was able to find the strength to quit. One theory I have is that when I was on the vicodin, I was constipated all the time, so my body is compensating for that. I don't know....any sound advice is greatly appreciated and I do apologize for the gross nature of this question. Thanks again.

I don't find your question gross in nature at all. Congratulations on stopping the Vicodin. I think you are right to assume that your suffering withdrawal includes that diahrrea. Your body probably has a lot stored up. Your going to feel great once these symptoms pass. I am very proud of you for finding your ability to stop the drugs.

Good for you for turning yourself around. Unfortunately, you will probably have to endure the diarrhea a little longer. My brother in law and his girlfriend were both hooked on pills BAD, and when they both got locked up, they lived on the toilets for a good while. His girlfriend for about a week and he was for about 3--just tough it out, and again-GOOD FOR YOU!
