Sorry to say, but a "butter face" is a woman that has a great body and an ugly face. Comes from "Oh, does she have a hot bod, but her (butter) face!".

I learn something new every day. This is a pretty funny term. I worked with a "butterface" for a while. She was also as stupid as a rock. I always thought she was nice from the neck downwards. Everything above the neck was a waste.
It is strictly about a woman with a nice body but a gross face. imboard2 is completely right down below.
