One more question?

Question

I was taking Provera from July 16-23, would I have to ovulate after I finish the last pill to start my cycle? I got AF on August 12. Or does the provera just start your cycle without ovulating?

Provera just brings on a period-hopefully you'll ovulate within a couple of weeks or so(depending on your cycle)and will be regular from there out.
My suggestion is to chart your temps and check for cervical mucus that is egg-white like and stringy.
Also,it wouldn't hurt to take an ovulation predictor test-this really helped me pin'point when and if I was ovulating when I concieved my son.

Provera does not stimulate ovulation. So if you ovulate when you are on it, then you ovulated on your own. If you have problems with ovulation, Provera will not make you ovulate.

Provera is used to force a period.
