How can I remove tape from a poster?

Question

Some of the tape is of the clear kind and some is tan-ish/brown. When I tried peeling off the clear tape it left a residue/sticky stuff on the poster.

you can use an eraser, but it won't look very glossy afterward. it is at the back of a poster, you just don't want the glue to stick to the front and ruin the poster when you roll it. but you don't care about how the back looks, so it is okay.

Get some goo-gone.
Put it on a q-tip or something like that, and rub a bit on the sticky part. It'll come out, but don't use too much or you can stain the poster
