Are pig organs similar to a humans? Do you think a pig/monkey to human heart transplant could ever work?

Pig's heart valves are already used to replace damaged human ones. One of the reasons this type of surgury can succeed is because the pig is so similar in its internal structure to the human's.

A lot of medical testing is done on pigs because the expected results in humans can be duplicated in these animals.

However, from your question, I don't really know what a pig/monkey is.

I wonder if "sportychick" would have any trouble accepting insulin for medical treatment, because it is derived from sheep's pancreas'? Or, if she would turn down a pig's valve to save her life?
