Where can I sell/trade a gas trimmer and a/c window unit?

Question

We just moved and no longer have use for either of these items. The trimmer is brand new and the a/c unit was used for two summers. My husband refuses to pay any money to advertise them in the paper, which to me seems like the best way to get rid of them. I checked eBay but neither of these items are selling well on there. Any suggestions? Does anyone have any experience with Yahoo! Classifieds? Thank you.

I have no experience with Y! Classifieds, but I think listing in WWW.CRAIGSLIST.ORG for your area is free.

The cost of shipping would seem to preclude any costs benefit from the sale of these items on the internet.
Try to be really nice to your husband because local sale would seem to be the most logical. Just make sure that all sales are final and for cash, with a note to maybe suggest what you said in the description of the items.
Local papers like at 7-11 or other gas station outlets have local papers that advertise for the very items you described in your question.
Just make sure the buyer knows that you attest in writing that you have never had a problem with the items but you have to say they're in 'as is' condition. You might take pictures of them too. If you're in a high income bracket you can benefit from giving the items to charity, don't forget to get a receipt, and taking the estimated value in cash from your taxes.
