Why do so many brides choose strapless wedding dresses? They aren't very flattering to most women.?

I completely agree, they are unflattering and don't look very chaste.

When I was shopping for wedding dresses all the nice ones were strapless. I got married in winter and wanted sleeves but all the dresses with sleeves looked frumpy, so i got a strapless one and got a little matching jacket and it looked fine.

i guess corset ones attached to a skirt is the in thing right now, and yes if too tight it will push all her upper body fat and look like her breasts are under her chin. If they have the right figure to pull it off then fine, most bridal shop staff sell the dress without offending their customers and often sell unsuitable dresses.

You need to be ultra slim and not have flab hanging over, its probably a fashion thing rather than what actually suits them.

i think a lot of women like to show off their figure on their wedding day. I opted for off the shoulder style with full skirt and 11ft train

i wouldnt wear a strapless wedding dress. i think it looks cheapening to the traditional dress
also, if you are marrying in a church, it's rude to show all your shoulders/back
cover them
or dont get married in a church, and if you go frequently to church anyway, you would realise this and notwear a strapless dress.
if you are marrying in a registry office
wear what you like
leather trousers and stilettos if you please

i don't know why they wear strapless dresses but i think it would be uber funny to see a girl fall out of her freaken dress. and it is faster to get out of to f*ck that night, silly goose

I don't know. They can look so tarty unless they are quite petite and not over endowed. One wedding we went to the bride was the QUEEN OF TART wearing a Spanish style dancing dress in RED - you know the sort that goes up at the front hem - and it was STRAPLESS. Uuggh! I shall never forget it as long as I live. Looked like she'd just walked out of an Old Western Saloon dressed as one of the dancing girls!

On some dresses the strapless look is beautiful, but on others it isn't very flattering.I for one am not a fan on those big, puffy sleeves,if you want to be the wedding cake instead of the bride, then go for it,small sleeves are perfect otherwise.

If you're tall, slim, under 30, not prone to goose flesh, and don't mind looking like a slapper in church, go for it. Otherwise, cover up. No exceptions.
