If you get the generic brand, it's between $25.00-$50.00 a month for each. Metformin is on the $4.00 plan at Walmart, Clomid is not.

Good luck.

I think generic metformin is relatively inexpensive. I have no clue about Clomid.

I believe the generic of Metformin you can get at Walmart on the $4 plan.

I don't know if Clomid is available in generic, but if it's not I'm willing to bet it is pretty expensive.

Just looked at information on Clomid (also called Serophene) today. Found this article:

Another advantage is that Clomid is relatively inexpensive compared to other fertility drugs, according to Dr. Simon Kipersztok, reproductive endocrinologist and assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He says patients can expect to pay $50 to $100 per cycle.

Just know that there is a generic form available, so make sure you ask about that.

Good luck. (Sorry, I don't know about Metformin.)

the clomid is not so expensive, it cost about $100.

i would be more concerned about the price of seeing a dr. to prescribe it.

before i was prescribed the clomid i had to do a HSG to check to make sure my tubes were clear, check my hormones, do an HIV test and other std's, check for any genetic disorder i may give my baby, my husband needed to provide a semen sample and a blood test as well.

i know that for an initial visit with a fertility specialist may cost up to $300. good luck.

Not sure on the cost of metformin, but you can probably get it pretty inexpensively. Clomid is usually near $100 per cycle, but I just discovered that COSTCO has it for $17 per cycle- and you don't need a costco card to get prescriptions there (or so I was told- I have a costco card).
