Has Anyone Else Tried GLAD FORCE FLEX kitchen bags?

My husband heard really great things about GLADS new FORCE FLEX garbage bags. They are $2 more than the brand that we normally get at the wholesale club around $10 for 140 bags. The commerical shows people stuffing the bag with pizza boxes, and other garbage and the bags are NOT supposed to split. My husband is always complaining I overfill the garbage bags, so I thought I'd put these to the test.I have 2 children/dog so we always have trash going out. Upon looking at the bags they look small, but they are supposed to stretch. So, I empty the diaper genie and throw away the bathroom trash and a small box.Nothing out of the ordinary. The bags completely split open.OK, maybe it was too heavy- so the next bags I throw away a bottle like a wine bottle, not broken- and a cereal box, some papertowels and the bathroom trash. The bag completely splits and there's only 4 or 5 things in it. I HATE THESE BAGS.So, I called the customer service line and they want to send coupons for MORE bags...!

I started to use those bags when they first came out because I've always had the problem of bags breaking, But they broke quicker than the cheap ones I use. I was disappointed...pissed. But for them to give you coupons for the same product you are complaining about is unproffesional.

Thanks for your answer, I'm calling Glad and letting them know that I DO NOT want any more coupons for their "crappy" product..

    Oh my,

I never use than brand. You best bet would be a more industrial strength..which I find at Target or Costco.

    Happy disposing!

I haven't had problems with these bags but perhaps you got a bad batch. My uncle manufactures plastic bags for a living and sometimes we get the ones that don't pass inspection, and I ALWAYS have trouble with them splitting. Perhaps you got a box that slipped thru inspection. Try them again and buy them somewhere else. Also, make sure you are getting the right size.

I use them....they don't work any better for regular kitchen garbage than the others....unless your stuffin' paper or napkins stuffs that won't rip the bags.....
they are hard to open too. We use really whatever is on sale.

i used them once and they worked well for my large load of clothing but they do rip and they do split!
i find them great for clothing the back seems to handle them nicely !
however i'm a cheap human who gets the roll from a dollar store and just watch my load of trash that goes into it!
and i never have many problems!

but my dad gets these Huge red bags (not a clue where) and i can put anything in them! if it has a sharp edge it still may tear but by far they are my favorite bags! \

I've heard wonderful things about these bags as well, but we stopped buying them. It seems like a wonderful concept but we too had trouble with them splitting -- and the drawstring ripping out. Recently I've been buying Hefty drawstring bags and haven't had many problems with them. I can't say they're the "best" but they are definitely better than the store brand which my husband complains about when I buy.
