What is the best time to view the leaves changing in fall in New England?

My wife and I are planning a trip to the area and wanted to pick an appropriate time to go. I have heard it is a sight to see. Thanks for the help in advance.

My husband and I traveled to New Hampshire a few years ago around the first week of October and it was spectacular! But it varies every year--try to be flexible about your location because it's a moving target. Check out this website: http://www.foliagenetwork.com

20-25October. (Sorry, but it depends on how long summer hangs on). You might want to call a local hotel in RI around the end of Aug.
