What exactly are you asking? You don't know what to get, you can't physically get them, or you can't afford them???
Call the school...they have a list of needed supplies.
If it is a money issue...call your local church or Goodwill/Salvation center. Try the dollar store too.
I am a teacher, and I can quite honestly say, that parents buy a lot of junk their kids don't need (or may never use). I have my own classroom set of crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, paper, notepads, etc. ~ but it really depends upon the school district you are in and how tight they are with $ for classroom supplies.
For really good deals, wait until the week school starts or even the first week school starts and you can get crayons for 10 cents a box, notebooks for 15 cents, and so on from office supply stores (Staples, Office Depot) ~ if you are looking for a popular item, it will not be there that late in the season, but if you are looking for your run-of-the mill basic items, you'll have a lot to chose from.
