I would prefer an afro over a bad (straight hair) weave anyday.

At least the afro is more representative of a natural hairstyle.

Thank to everyone else who ACTUALLY answered the QUESTION! I rock an afro and it is very stylish...I am complimented on my style all the time by females and males, black and white (especially the white guys...they seem to LOVE it.) I change up and wear a varity of ther styles as well.

Some say they don't, which I don't understand. Because why date a black woman? When most black women have NATURALLY kinky/coarse hair. Those guys that don't, only want black women who will live by "their standards". So they shouldn't be worth your time. Plus, repeated use of relaxers and weaves cause hair loss!!! Is being bald worth pleasing certain guys?

It shouldn't matter; there are even black males who wouldn't date a black female with an afro so of course there are white males; I say just be true to yourself and the rest comes naturally :)

I don't personally. Though it's better than cornrows, dreads or whatever those rope-like things are......braids?......the entire hair braided into skinny ropes. I don't find that attractive.

There are many beautiful black women. Beauty knows no racial boundaries. Like a good song is a good song, a beautiful woman is a beautiful woman.

It's off topic but I'd like to add that any woman of any race with a cigarette in her hand is unattractive.
