If you suck at singing and you practice will you get better?

Depends. Sometimes people can make their voices amazing by just singing along with other singers. Other times you need to get a teacher. I personally recomend getting a teacher. I would also find a teacher who focuses more on itailian and theatrical stuff because that music really helps. It might sound lame but its the basics. That way if you are singing pop, rock, or whatever you can apply basics and then make it your own. Also you wont hurt your voice.

It depends. If you can't keep in tune or you're tone deaf, no amount of practicing is ever going to help. You didn't say in what way you suck, so this is the best answer I can give you.

I sing. I also play drums and noodle around with other instruments. I always had an ability to sing and I'm blessed to be part of a family where all my sisters can really sing and have been involved with Jazz groups and other stuff. However, we had to develop some skills to enhance our natural "instrument".

Hope this helps. And if you find that you aren't a good singer, after all, don't worry. Sing in the shower! Or, take up drums, guitar, or art.

i'm not a singer, but a couple of months after i took up guitar i noticed my singing voice had improved. i can hit the right notes more than before.. so i think if you take up an instrument it could help you =) good luck.

I became a great singer by listening to all types of female artists, and carefully following what they were doing, many times rewinding the same parts over again to find the exact pitch and other qualities. Be careful, though. I have a very hard time singing on my own and eventually gave it up because I was too deep into using the crutch.

if you really suck and your voice is just nails on a chalkboard...probably not. but if you're so-so, you most likely will get better. with practice, almost everyone will improve but it doesn't mean that you'll become the next mariah carey... practice can only help so much
