PLEASE! how on earth do you spell ADELINA in CHINESE? I have seen two different ways!!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!!?

Hi Lexi, so far Lisa has given you the most approximate transliteration of Adelina into Chinese. This is just a complementary answer to hers. Below are the constituent parts of the name 愛德林娜：

愛 (ài) basically means Love
德 (dé) basically means Virtue
林 (lín) the Forests and Woodlands
娜 (nà) in this case, a common Chinese character used for female names

If Adelina is a name,then it is quite common to see many different ways.'cause for every syllable there are many characters,(ie a lot of characters share a same pronunciation) and which to choose just depends on the translator,and often those that seem fair and have a good meaning are chosen.Also,Some may use a character for a consonant at the end of the name while others don't.So either of the translations might be right.

爱德林娜(ai4de2lin2na4)is one of the Chinese name
but the foreigner in China almost have a real Chinese name in three words or short.
ADELINA's Chinese form maybe is 艾丽娜(ai4li4na4),that 艾(ai4) is a Chinese first name ,丽娜(li4na4) is the last name of a female and it's good.

sorry. can't. Chinese doesn't have a spelling/alphabet system?! It's an impossible task. No one can spell in Chinese. People who respond should read the question clearly first. 2 different ways to spell in Chinese? That's impossible!
