My friend is quite fat and he eats a lot of fat. How to monitor blood cholesterol levels ?

My friend is quite fat and he eats a lot of fat. I have cautioned him against cholesterol levels but to no heed. Now I think I’ll show him results of a cholesterol test at home. That will surely shake him up. How to monitor blood cholesterol levels?

This sounds like a good idea, but some people do not seem to be phased by facts and figures. My husband recently saw a program that stated that the overly obese actually suffer from an addictive type state in regards to foods. This takes a lot of willpower. One thing that might help your friend is to ask him to add lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to his diet in addition to whatever he is already eating. Maybe he can place a big bowl of his favorite fruits or veges right in the middle of the table or counter. This will give his body the ingredients to begin fighting the problems he is having and help his body adapt to changing the food consumption, gradually.

I guess non-patients should also be worried about cholesterol levels in their body, why wait till u become a heart patient. High cholesterol level presents a significant risk for developing heart attacks and stroke. Without knowing your cholesterol level you are taking a risk. With some cholesterol test kit you can discover and monitor your cholesterol level yourself without all the fuss associated with having it done at a doctor's clinic. If you also feel the same, check out this webpage
