How to detect alcohol abuse?

I think my son is consuming alcohol with friends. He is just 16 and it’s not right at his age to do so. I am too scared to confront him and interrogate on this. But I guess I’ll have to do it to save my son’s future. Please tell me the easiest method to detect if he has consumed alcohol or not.

Alcoholism is not a habit, it’s a disease. You must intervene immediately otherwise he may become an addict even before you sense something. I have read about students committing crimes for money to keep up with the addiction. Anyways here is what you can do. Next time you suspect alcohol consumption, ask him to prove his sobriety by taking the alcohol test which you can find on the link below .
You must use one of the Alcohol Saliva Screen Tests which are perfect for onsite testing. Since these tests are so cost-effective, you can stock up and have them on hand ready for use should the need arise. These tests are just right for Zero Tolerance testing programs wherein the blood alcohol concentration must be below 0.02%. This is often in effect with employees of transportation and safety sensitive professions. They are easy to use. Just wet the test pad with saliva and wait 4 minutes for the results. There's not need for a lab analysis. Each test is packaged individually in a sterile pouch. Good luck.

You have a communication problem that needs handled first. If you cannot talk to him about this, have you ever? Why are you scared of your own son? You are the parent...at 16 you have the right (and absolutely should) talk to him about this. Really, who else is going to? Love him enough to master a good relationship with him....the rest just falls into place.

He may have tried it, I think your paranoid. Kids always experiment with their friends. Drugs u will notice, a little booze isnt going to ruin his future. If my mom was asking people on a random web site about me drinking, I would throw back a few too. It is unlikely his trying booze will be a big deal. Now, if its in his genes to be a drunk, then u may have a problem. but it will make itself obvious, it always does and I know this subject greatly.
