If you can afford buy Laser printer. The inkjets may be cheaper initially but becomes very costly in long run. The ink is costly and the head creates frequent problem. If you have inkjet printer you should take at least one page print every 3 days.

For Laser printers use Xerox or HP.

For color photo printing use EPSON Inkjet or Xerox Laser printer.

Also please do not go for multi function device which scan and prints both. Buy them separately. The printer becomes old and develop defects more. The scanner normally do not give much problem.

For home user one scanner is enough for one life where as printer needs to be replaced at least once in 5 years.

    Hi Tarun,

There are several questions that you need to ask yourself before buying a printer.

First, you need to ask yourself, for what purpose you need the printer. Different models are suitable for different purposes. Say, a basic entry level inkjet printer will do for occasional printing, mainly text, and a few photos here and there while a good high end color laser printer may be required for Heavy office use with also a lot of images and color.

Then you need to look at your budget. This will certainly help you cut down the list of available models. There are various things that you should keep in mind while going for a printer. You can have a look at the some tips at this website: http://printerinkcartridges.printcountry…

    Hope that helps.

    Good Day,
    Tarun

It depends on what you want to do. If you are just printing documents, any inkjet will work ok. If you are looking to print photos or higher quality graphics, you will need a higher end model. Just go to Best Buy or Circuit City and they have a good selection. Dont buy it there but decide which one you want and then go online to find the best price, usually at Wal-Mart.
