I know Elvis was famous for his love of fried peanut butter sandwich. What was in them and how are they made?

If possible I'd like a recipe and all ingredients. Thanks

In the 1980's before she pasted away, I was working in Toronto Canada, and my friend was the Executive Chef at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Skydome now the Rogers Dome.

They had the women who was the personal chef for Elvis for 20 years, she talked about his favorite meals, like the 3 cans of peas with 1 pound of butter in them, the banana pudding and 5 pound pot roast she made every night.

The sandwich was peanut butter and sliced bananas plus 3 slices of crisp bacon, all fried in butter in a frying pan, it was quite a calorie laden sandwich, and it was not just one, sometimes she said he would eat 3-4 at a time.

You make them just like grilled cheese sandwiches, but instead of cheese you use peanut butter

You put peanut butter on two pieces of bread, and then add bananas on top. After this you fry them on a stove for your preferable time. and...WHOOLA!

They were actually fried banana and PB sandwiches.
Slice the banana and arrange in a single layer on PB grill the whole thing like a grilled cheese w/butter on the outside of the bread.

Fool's Gold Loaf (Peanut Butter, Blueberry Jelly & Bacon)
In February 1976, Elvis Presley combined his passion for peanut butter and free spending ways and flew a party of friends in his private jet from Memphis to Denver. The purpose was to dine on a heroic peanut butter sandwich called the Fool's Gold Loaf, a specialty of the Colorado Gold Mine Company.

This extravagant, artery-blocking sandwich consisted of an entire loaf of bread, hollowed out, spread thickly with peanut butter and blueberry jelly and filled with a pound of crisp fried bacon. The party's "King-sized" order consisted of twenty-two Fool's Gold Loaves, a case of champagne, and a case of Perrier for Elvis and other non-tipplers. The impressive carry-out order was delivered to the party - and consumed - at the airport. The tab for the expedition? About sixteen thousand dollars.
