Oxycodone vs. oxycontin?

Oxycodone is the generic for Oxycontin.
These medications are both diminutives of Percocet. Oxycodone and Oxycontin are basically Percocet, but they are time-released.

I do not mean to be mean here but KellyNello's answer is incorrect. While it is true that Percocet has Oxycodone in it.

Oxycontin which is a time released form of oxycodone is NOT the same as Percocet
