Can a person choke to death on a piece of ice?

if it is large enough to cut the breath off it can kill one before it melts enough to go down

yes, you can choke to death. Assuming it is an ice cube we are talking about, it would not melt in time to save you.

im sure if a person can drown in a tea spoon of water then a person can choke on ice, and it would not melt as fast as u think

ummmmmmmm no not possible the ice will melt be for the person will choke if you feel as if you are you might choke on the water from it but you will be fine it will just be air pockets

I have first hand experience with this question! I actually choked on the round circle ice from Wendy's many years ago when they had it. I inhaled while the ice was in my mouth. It lodged in my throat. I turned blue and was getting light headed but the ice finally melted enough where I could cough it out. Depending on the thickness and size of the ice, it could obstruct your airway long enough for you to pass out and become hypoxia. Remember, brain cells die within 4-6 minutes without oxygen.

the ice will eventually melt but if for some reason it doesn't melt fast enough, i suppose its possible

wellas u know anything is possible people choke on there own spit . but i woulkd think it might hurt going down the throat but melting due to body heat and u might lose breath but regain by breathing thrue the nose
