How can I prevent & treat a prickly heat rash?

    moisturize and use sunscreen when out. I find that the aloe stuff for sunburns and also the oatmeal lotion works well for a heat rash. If it keeps happening then see a doctor they can prescribe you a lotion. Also if you irritate it then use a hydrocortizone cream.

    To prevent, use baby powder--to treat, use Desitin (diaper cream) until cleared up.

    prevention, don't wear tight-fitting clothing, and when you need to, like underclothing, wear cotton or other natural fibers. a good sports bra is essential!

    treatment, wash affected areas with cool water, no harsh soap, pat dry, and apply a cornstarch-based powder to the area. keep cool and dry as much as possible.
