Keflex antibiotics?

Lets say you have an ear infection and another infection, say kidney infection or an infection from working in the backyard and you got a cut...with 500mg keflex 30 tablets, how would it work? would it actually work on both infections at the same time? is it like tylenol that will reduce pain whereever pain is felt, does keflex antibiotic work the same way?

It's possible, but each infection might need a different dose, or different length of taking it. Also, is it the best suited for that infection, even if it might work a little. Some infections require that culture be taken, and they find out which antibiotic would work best by testing it on the cultures.

If in doubt, call your doctor. Don't mess around with antibiotics because you could wind up developing resistant strains and have a very difficult time clearing up an infection.

The hospitals are full or MRSA and VRE patients for this very same reason.

(MRSA=Methicillin resistant Staph Aureus and VRE=Vancomycin resistant Enterococci)

If both bacterias were effected by keflex, yes. Not all infections respond to the same drugs.

Not all bacteria respond to the same antibiotics. Some are wide spectrum antibiotics that are somewhat more adaptable than others. But in order to treat someone for multiple serious problems you really should be cultured to try to match the bacteria with an effective antibiotic .

Although Keflex is a wide spectrum antibiotic, only your doctor can determine if it would work or not for the infections you have. Yes, it is distributed everywhere ( with a few exceptions) but it may or may not be effective. If you have an urinary tract infection you need an urine culture, for a cut you may need atetanus shot not antibiotics. If there are signs of infection, like swelling and pus, you need a culture, Keflex may not work. For an ear infection it may or not work. So ask your doctor. Don't auto medicatte, it could be dangerous, you don't know for how long, you don't know if the bacteria are sensitive to it, you don't even know if you need it.
If, on the other hand, your doctor prescribed them, then take them, he must have good reason to give you that abx.
