What the heck is a Lincoln log sandwich?

It was in the Sopranos. Carmella made some kind of sandwich I had never seen before and she called it a Lincoln log sandwich. It looked like a hot dog or some kind of sausage, split in half with either cream cheese or sour cream on it. I have never heard of this before. I tried looking up lincoln log sandwich and log sandwich, nothing came up. Anyone have an idea of what this is?

LMAO! I just did the same search for exactly the same reason. The whole scene, from the moment she called them Lincoln Log sandwiches, struck me that this was family snack from AJ's childhood... Like my mom's "bockalo parfait," which is strictly her own and got its name because I couldn't pronounce "popsicle" when I was a kid.

But my real question for all of us who have watched, backed-up our TiVos and rewatched that scene to figure out what a Lincoln Log sandwich really is: Have any of you guys actually TRIED one? Are they any good?

Am I going to be the guinnea pig here?

Thanks. This is the most logical explanation. I did some further research and apparently in Seattle it is pretty common to dress hot dogs with cream cheese. I had never heard about hot dogs with cream cheese before. It is a weird snack, but part of me wants to try it out.
