Is there a link between drinking cold water and heartburn?

I have been experiencing heartburn in the morning after I drink cold water, so I was wondering...

I was taught in anatomy & physiology class that it is far too much of a shock for the body to drink cold water. Although a lot of people like drinking water straight from the fridge, the body doesn't like it.
This could be the reason you are feeling heart burn, the body is telling you to change your habits.

you should try room temperature water the next 2 days and see if there is a difference,then you will know

I don't know about that, but sipping warm water slowly will get rid of heartburn... works quickly and doesnt taste bad like apple cider vinegar which is another home remedy for heartburn.
