How do you get an inexpensive apartment?

Question

How do you get an inexpensive apartment in Santa Cruz without killing anyone, sleeping with anyone, or blackmail of any kind? Not that I'm apposed to these practices, I just don't know anyone well enough to make it worthwhile.

Only way is section 8, but you dont qualify. :P
Or you could just get a regular apt and sponge off your girlfriend :P
