If Eli sucks again and/or the Giants don't make the playoffs...?

If Eli sucks again and/or the Giants don't make the playoffs again, do you think Eli's time in NY is done? Furthermore, if that does happen, do you think what NY did to get him was the worst draft move in the history of the NFL?

UncleRico, 3000+ Yds and 24TDs means **** when he's been at the bottom of the league in completion % and QB Rating, and towards the top in Interceptions. But hey, if you want to focus on just two stats, go right ahead. He's not only not as good as Peyton, but he's also not as good as most QBs in the league. He's mediocre at best. In addition, QBs are supposed to be leaders, and he's always so mopey on the sidelines.

i dont think theyll get rid of him because theyve invested so much money in him and his last name is Manning.......

if your scenario happens Tom Coughlin is gone........

i agree with your assessment of Manning.......

too many INT's and very low completion %.....

and most telling is his lack of leadership, low confidence and lack of relationship with his teammates.......

Yes, that's true...they've invested so much, they probably won't get rid of him, but I know some fans are already fed up with him (I live in NY), so if he continues down his current path, it won't be pretty.

No and No!
First, they DID make the playoffs last year so i'm not sure what you mean about "again" and they lost in the playoffs because of the DEFENSE and not because of Eli, even though he was very inconsistant. Next, Philip Rivers hasn't proven himself better than Eli; anybody can hand the ball off to LT and look good.

Phillip Rivers has played 1 year and hasn't done a whole lot but hand the ball off to LT, so why is everybody already making assumptions that it was an awful trade. Yeah, right now I'd say that the chargers got the better end of the deal but Shawn Merriman isn't exactly helping the team out with his 4 game suspension and cheating (steroids) and Eli Manning IS NOT a terrible QB he is just compared to his brother too much. (by the way he did make the playoffs last year) The Giants need to give him time to get it going... look at Peyton, he didn't do anything great his first 2 years. But if the Giants don't make the playoffs this next year, the first thing that the Giants GM/Owner will do is fire Tom Coughlin... he was close to getting fired last year but managed to make the playoffs so that buys him some time to make this team better (not including cutting Eli).

Eli is garbage. The Giants were stupid for trading phillip Rivers for him and Eli is a little whiney baby, crying about where he was drafted. Unfortunantly for Eli, his brother's legacy puts a ton of pressure on him to do as well. If Peyton wasn't his brother, Eli would have been a second round draft pick. if this team would have stuck with Rivers they would be going deep into the playoffs for a while. Eli will be gone in 2 years.

The head coach of that team should be gone. Eli nor any other quarterback should have to be yelled at during the middle of drives by their coach and singled out. Poor player relations could easily be corrected.

Eli definitely isn't the QB his brother is. I'm not sure exactly why the Giants' GM wanted Eli so bad, but I'm a Chargers fan, so I'll GLADLY take Phillip Rivers AND Shawne Merriman in exchange for Eli. Great trade, if you ask me.

And if Eli doesn't significantly improve this season, it is a fair bet that he probably won't ever get better than he is now.

Well saying Eli sucks is a little harsh. I mean yeah he isnt Peyton but hey there are 31 other teams in the league that can say that as well. Eli is a good QB and probably in the top 12 in the league right now, and should get better. I think the G-men will miss Tiki and it might be Strahan's last year as well. They do play in the NFC wich gives them a good playoff shot right there. They drafted decent, and didnt do to bad in offseason with exception of losing Tiki. This team will get better when Coughlin leaves and they bring in a better coach. No way is Eli done even if the G-men fo 4-12

I don;'t think he will be done. The Giants will look at it as their fault and not eli's fault because they didn't give him, enough protection of the left side.

Eli will suck again this year and will be kept because he's Paytons brother. The only reason they made the playoffs last year is because of Tiki Barber. Let's see little Manning's team w/out a RB. Drafting him wasn't the worst draft move in NFL history. Whoever drafted Ryan Leaf was worse. He ain't even in the NFL. Eli is at least 3rd string material.
