Why isn't anyone questioning Lowell?

Question

A-Rod was taking all sorts of criticism for the number of errors he had last season, but I've heard little about Mike Lowell's (Red Sox) struggles this year, a fellow third baseman like A-Rod. Lowell had two more errors today against the Yanks to give him 8 errors in only 22 games. This is a former gold glover!

So what's going on with him? Do you think Boston fans should start worrying? Do you think it's early? Has he acquired Knoblauch-itis?

ARod is considered the best or close to the best player in all of baseball. ARod makes many millions more than Mike Lowell. ARod's on the Yankees which opens him up for more scrutiny than if he were on any other team because the Yankees are expected to win every year. Boston fans may get fed up with Lowell's errors and start to boo him, but it would never become as big of a story nationally as anything ARod does.

mike lowell is not considered the best player in the game like a rod is so he will get as much flack for underachieving

The question is why aren't more people questioning Derek Jeter? He's tied for the most errors for a shortstop in baseball, makes nearly as much money as ARod and has never been even remotely as productive. He would have the most errors had it not been for one of this errant throws being charged as an error on the first baseman.

I agree with you Lowell should be getting questioned by Red Sox Nation but the main reason he doesn't is his salary and he also knows how to keep his mouth shut.

Mike Lowell has definitely had some issues this year, but again, his "amazing" fielding plays still outweigh his 8 miscues. Not to mention some of those errors were up to debate for whether they were actual fielding errors. Even fielders go into slumps. A-rod gets the attention, because he makes MILLIONS more than Lowell and his errors were only elevated to the public eye, because of NY's opinion that he was failing to live up to this contract and "great" status, so they were starting to put the heat on him. He could have put his sock on the wrong way and they would have added that to his sh** list.
