Why is it important to save sea turtles?

What do sea turtles do to help the world? Why should I care about saving them, are they really in danger of going extinct?

Every living organism is part of a chain or many chains. If these chains are altered some or all of the species directly involved could face trouble surviving. If sea turtles were to vanish they could disrupt hundreds of chains of living organism ultimately producing a likely extinction for many of these or other living things. It is important that we protect every living organism on the earth to avoid disrupting any more ecosystems.

Endangered species are to be conserved.
    See!!!!!!!
    Suppose u r a lazy child and u don't help others.
    what 'll be ur use???
But if u meet with an accident and are severely injured, everyone will try to save u.

Don't think that i was saying against u. may be u are a very good person. i gave this example to explain u.
We must learn to respect the feelings of every organisms.

Different organisms represent the varied diversity of the Mother Earth and they too have a right to live.
So it is our duty to save them to conserve the biodiversity.

It is important to save the turtles because they are ancient animals that used to live with dinosaurs, they were fine until the human development threat them and they can not don anything against us.
The turtles help the world by taking energy form the ocean and bringing to the coast, for example green turtle eat sea grass and take all this energy to the beach as eggs and hatchlings. Another example is the leatherback, she eats jellyfish, and jellyfish eat baby fishes, so if there is not enough turtles, the jellyfishes are going to grow and eat more fishes, also the jellyfishes are going to approach to the coast causing accidents in the beaches.
And YES there are in danger, and YES they are going extinct because humans threats.
We eat there eggs, we eat there adults, we build in nesting beaches and we let nets in the sea so they drown. Tell me where they can be safe if we have been hunting them everywhere???

    - Would the world be a better place with or without them?
    - We or people in the future could learn a lot from them. They travel very far, swim very deep, swim their whole lives, they have an interesting nesting behavior from instinct, etc.
    - They help control the jellyfish population - they're part of the food web.
    - They are amazing. Go to a beach and see them.

There are many reasons, ecologically. If the sea turtle goes extinct, another species will flourish to great extremes(the prey of the sea turtle), and that could cause an imbalance in our ecological system. It's always smart to remember, one loss means another's gain. Many people don't like spiders, but if there were no more spiders on Earth, then the amount of insects would over ride us and make this Earth uninhabitable to any life. That's a good example to think about.

I think it's important to save a sea turtle because they are magnificent creatures and also help prevent jelly fish and other see creatures they eat from over powering coral reefs.

Perhaps they are related to Turtle whom carries your (our) world on his back according to the teachings of the Iroquois nation.

All wild creatures are part of a balanced network of life, if you take out a piece of that network, it might have unexpected results.

Case in point: the Bee population is decreasing at an alarming rate.
Scientists are working hard to find out why.

    Why is that important?
No Bees, no pollination, no food.

back to the turtles...if they die out, nothing may happen, or some other animal type might be effected, or an entire food chain might die out...who knows, but I rather not find out.

    Hope that helps
