Percocet vs Oxy IR?

Question

What's the difference between Oxy Ir 5 mg and Percocet 5/325? I know that Percocet is oxycodone and aspirin and Oxy Ir is just oxycodone...but is there really a difference?

By the way...I didn't ask for advice on how to take it, I just want to know the difference...cuz I'm pretty certain they are equivalent...but I am looking for a definate answer!

If you are consuming a controlled substance your doctor should have informed you on your meds. If you are wanting to consume someone elses meds, I would not think it is such a great idea to ask on yahoo answers if a certain controlled substance is the same as another.

Oxy is stronger then percocet. Both very addictive. Take as prescribed by your doctor, if you don't need it, stay away from it. It will ruin your life.

Oxy IR is just Percocet minus the Tylenol. No difference.

oxy Ir 5 mg is synthetic morphine......percocet the 5 is for the amount of codone and the 325 is the amount of aspirin.......i think i am thinking that you should ask your doctor, because when dealing with meds that are habit forming, danger is involved, or call a pharmacist
