Why cant i install my live messenger it fails says error code 1603 why is so?

Question

why cant i install my live messenger it roll back and say that the set up has failed with code error 1603 and tells also to install it again i ve been trying to install this for almost 100 times but it fails why ?

Possibly the windows installer version must be updated. 1.)

At the bottom of this therad about the problem. 2.)
Which is full of suggestions for the 1603 problem.

This conforms with similar observations about other aborted installs and windows installer. Another cause for aborted installs that I have obesereved a damaged or deinstalled IE because that seems to handicap part of the installer service.

If You do not succed maybe use Mirranda. 3.) or similar
