Which job is better? Dental assistant or a research assistant?

I want to know something from you.
1. Which is a better job? Working as Dental Assistant or As research asssistant/associate.
2. How many dollars ($) does a full time research assistant in a university normally get?

Most research assistants are graduate students, so I guess the better job would be a Dental assistant. Additionally they are two very different jobs do you like doing research or being in a dentist's office?
Dental assistants on avg make about $13/hr.
Why be an assistant to someone, when you can have assistants?

A grad student research assistant will usually make 15k to 25k a year. So dental assistant should pay better than that. But look into it first.
