Muslims is there a sura that says a man must talk softly when having dinner at the prophets house?

Was this such an issue in Islam that it needed to be scripture if Muhammad was the last prophet how many people was this scripture written for? Wouldnt a simple note on the prophets door suffice? Is this a corruption of scripture or are you guys still meeting at Muhammad's house for dinner?

Razan thanks this is what i understood that it was a personal scripture refering to Allah and those who actually ate at Muhammad's house...I wonder why everytime I ask a Muslim question either most do not know the answer or none agree...could it be that the Qu'ran is often unclear or on both sides of the same issue? If allah wrote scriptures simply ofr Muhammad and folks eating dinner at his house isn't that interesting being as Muhammad was a prophet of Allah and spoke to Gabriel getting oinfo from allah seems they could have comunicated this for themselves wihtout it becoming scripture for those billions of people who do not eat at Muhammad's house..seems such a waste when a note on the door would have worked just as well..Allah is suposed to be the God of Abraham and he never made scripture for the folks that visited Moses...all seemed to pertain to spiritual things not a dinner party..same God huh?

I'm retarded is this the Muslim way of admiting his doen't have an answer that makes good sense...Clearly this verse was for Muhammad's contempoaries as I staed earlier it would be the bilical equivalent of God telling us how to dress when we go to Mose's house...While such a verse may have had great meaning to Moses and his friends...seems like making such a verse for so few people kind of petty for God...seems if God had a problem with Muhammad's guest he could have told Muhammad or Muhammad could have revealed it to his houseguest but I see that you see it surely has significance to you today as it shows Muhammad's guest were not well mannered and this somehow is of some significant help to you today? God could not have made a sura saying speak softly at dinner? Somehow Allah needed to provide Muhammad and his friends as an example of this and this somehow helps you? Maybe its just me but it seems Allah forgot Muhammad was his last Prophet or he wasn't sure how much longer.....

the world would continue after Muhammad's death....maybe your right mabe Muhammad's friends manners apply to you today....I can't see it but I'm retarded lol.

Actually if I remember correctly the Sura was talking about the prophet's companions and those who used to ask him about different matters daily..
those had not so good manners..and it tired the prophet so God sent a verse upon him, telling those the right manners of speaking,asking inquiring and conversing with Mohammed (PBUH)
See, Islam teaches morals in every aspect of life..and since Muslims should take Mohammed (PBUH) as role model ..So in a way it teaches Muslims how to treat with now a day scholars and Muftis who have great knowledge about Islam as well..

What, u leave all the religion and u take this part. It was written to teach them to speak softly, and also to anyone who is having dinner or any meal out of their homes to have good manners. Which is kinda weird to ask about while it says that people should have good manners, don't u think?

I don't know about the Islam so much, but I will try to answer you with what I have learned about the ISLAM. first, the ISLAM talk about all the fields of life, ethics, morals, science, economy, politics......etc. and this issue you are talking about is so so so small issue in the ISLAM, it may be not mentioned compared to another issues. It is clear that you didn't read the holy Quran and its interpretation, but what I can say to you that the Muslims apply this issue until now at the Mohamed's mosque " peace be upon him ", as a sort of ethics and respect applying GOD (ALLAH)'s order.the Mohamed's mosque in which he was buried.

Prophet Muhammed Taught Us How to eat :

First , you have to pray a short pray to thank allah for the Food .
then you eat from the Food right at the front of you ,, don't take food from the front of other people .. also , try not to talk alot & eat slowly and chew your food good ,, also help people who eat with you by handing them the dishes spoons & such stuff ...
make sure to have your hand clean before you sit to the table .

Don't eat a lot ,,, Prophet Muhammed says ,, don't fill your stomach ,, let it be one third for food , one third for wwhat you drink ( liquids ) and one third for your breath ..

Also , if you have a guest ,,, let him/her choose what she eats First and let the Guest start the Pray before eating ......

use your right hand only to eat as much as you can , not a sin to use your left hand to help but not all the time ,, those who use the left hand cause they grew up like that can eat using their left hand too .

after you finish , you thank allah for the Food and thank your host if you are invited and wash your hands and mouth and clean your teeth ...

this is not all but it's all i remember now , Prophet muhammed (pbuh) has taught muslims all the good moralities in all situations you just need to read about it to discover that .....

Huh?? In the Quran, there are MANY topics discussed concerning MANNERS, ok? Manners are discussed in there in the most beautiful way possible. (And GOD did it, like it or not :D!!!! How I LOVE God, everyone's LORD!) It doesn't just apply to Muhammad's house, silly; it applies to EVERYONE's house, ok? There are other verses that say don't enter the prophet's house without his permission; that doesn't mean "just Muhammad"!!! It means EVERYONE, Muslim or non-Muslim.
Oh, and next time, give the chapter:verse of the Quran so I can confirm and give you the NEIGHBORING verses as well, as you anti-Muslims often get a tiny part of a verse and leave the rest out. How silly, how unwise, how unfair, how ignorant.

Well...were you the first idiot who thought that this verse was of no use regarding us Muslims reading the Koran today? Didn't you know that this verse could be an order for those who were contemporary to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) while it is a fine example for us, when we visit friends, that we are not supposed to raise our voices so that our visits are not to be felt as a disturbance??? Doesn't this verse gives us historical facts about the manners of the Prophet (PBUH) and his Companions?? Isn't the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) our greatest leader?? Doesn't this verse show you as it shows us that even minor errors and sins like these should not to be seen as contemptible and that we are ordered to always improve ourselves??
