When spiders move about looking for a place to set up residence, they always secrete webbing. This is in case they lose grip and fall. They always attach webbing to everything. While we sleep, the air in the home has time to settle and the dust and smoke and all particles have time to settle. These particles gather on the webbing left by the spiders. It is estimated that there are about 10,000 spiders on every acre of ground in the world. Just because you can not see them does not mean they are not there.
