Clindamycin phosphate 1% lotion -- scared! can it really kill u!!???!acne?

Question

i was just prescribed clindamycin phosphate medication for my acne...
i read that it can cause colitis and even death...
does anyone know of any bad experiences with clindamycin phosphate...
should i start using it?
i dunno if it is normal among acne patients...or...if a lot of people use it without harm...
can anyone help me out here?

Its very good that you read the labels, but clindamycin has been used for acne for a very long time and I can assure you that if your doctor was concerned with the side affects he/she wouldn't have prescribed it to you. NOW if you have any complications stop using it immediately, there is always the possibility of being allergic to the medicine. Now since this is an anti-biotic you might want to eat some yogurt maybe one a day or every two days, because your more susceptible to yeast infections

dont worry i was prescribed clindamycin while i was actually pregnant, i think you will be fine.
