Not a good idea. Put in a tankless water heater instead and save water, gas and money since you are only heating the water as you use it.

It is a toss up on the savings. No one knows for sure if you save money, because it cost to keep reheating the water. If you don't like to wait on the water to get hot, then do install it for convenience and don't worry about the cost.
