How can I help ficus trees to pull through recent Phoenix freeze?

3 - 12 FT TREES PLANTED 2 YEARS AGO, IN MY SOUTH FACING FRONT YARD. HARDY AND HEALTHY BEFORE FREEZE. NOW LEAVES LOOK LIKE THERE SHRINKING AND TURNING A DARK GREEN/BROWN/DARK MAUVE COLOR. NURSERY SAYS THEY HAVE 20% CHANCE OF LIVING AND JUST KEEP WATERING AS USUAL. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

Black heavy duty garbage bags should fit to cover them.

Add a little Super Thrive when you water. It helps plants come out of shock

go ahead and remove any dead or dying leaves, so that it can use all of its energy to heal and grow new leaves instead of trying to save those, if it freezes again...cover them overnight but remove the cover before the sun comes up good luck!!
