Howdo you get a car unstuck from ice??? and you have no salt??

if it is just ice on a flat ground just put the car in gear and let the car idle off do not pour hot water it will refreeze if you have a manual just ease off the clutch no gas you want as little torque going to the wheels as possible. me personally i use full throttle turning the wheel left to right but this is very dangerous because if it grips your off and possibly hitting more ice and you will spin i drive for a living and i drive in alot of ice the best thing to do is use my theory if there is ice dint drive better late than never you will not win a battle with ice. so leave it stuck and whatever you had to do let it wait until the ice melts

Dump hot water over it and then chip the rest of the ice away really quickly so it doesn't freeze again? Just an idea; I've never tried it.

kick it, try using something in the trunk to break the ice

If not too bad jumping up and down on the bumpers will help jar it loose or jacking up the car. Or get some one to gently push or pull you.

kitty litter or sand or cold ashes from a wood stove fire.. or bits of bark or traction grates available at your automotive store... I have even used some hay once and it worked too! good luck!!

If the car is just stuck on a bad patch of ice, use sand if you have some handy...it will give you some traction. Do not use salt as it will only melt you into the ice even more..it creates dips under the tires and makes it even harder to get out. Do not spin the tires, but rather try to rock the car back and forth until you are free of where you are stuck.

Where are you going to get hot water? Just dig at the ice with your jack handle till you hit dirt or bare ground (ROAD). then try pulling out of it you might have to rock back and forth a couple of times ,but it should work

FWD or RWD? LIghtly applying the parking brake on a RWD will simulate a posi, or on a FWD, lightly tap the regular brakes while sawing the wheel left and right. In a pinch, you can use your floormats for traction.
