It was reported that Vincent D'Onofrio was back with his ex-wife Carin Van Der Donk are they back together?

As recent as this month, a NY Post reporter (R. Johnson) indicated that he sighted Vincent D'Onofrio shopping and when asked a question, Vincent said he was shopping for his wife. The reported stated that he was unaware that Vincent's was supposed to be divorced, since he insinuated that he was still married and wonder if Vincent was not being truthful with him. That does not sound like Vincent's personality, he seems to be very honest when he does interviews and other things. So that's why I wanted to know if he has reunited with Carin Van Der Donk, after all they have a beautiful young 6 year old son.

Additional Details

After I read the reporter comments, I emailed him and informed him that Vincent D'Onofrio was divorced, so he should of used ex-wife instead of wife. So the reporter emailed me back and wonder if Vincent was being truthful with him or not.

I read somewhere that Vincent is back with Carin, for the sake of their son, Elias, because he is still at a young age. I don't know if it's more serious than that. If they are back together, I hope it's because they truly love each other, as well as their son. Otherwise, it would be a hopeless situation for all concerned.

I hope it is because of love from BOTH of them. I think over the years she was seeing someone else after their divorce (which of course she has a right to). Being a model I am sure she had a lot of prospects. So I hope she is not giving Vincent false hope of getting back together.

If he is back with his ex, that's great. Hopefully they can work things out for the sake of their child.
