Where can I buy the sides that are sawed off of logs? Is there an internet site that may sell them?

Most of the wood that is unusable as lumber or firewood gets converted to pulp for paper, so you would likely need to go directly to the mill to find and purchase those pieces.

Check with any lumber or paper mills in your area, or if you don't know any, try the yellow pages, and check with logging companies,too.

A sawmill would be the first place I would look. There are several here in my neck of the woods. If you dont have one nearby, youre either going to have to ship in your pieces, or contact someone local with a 'portable' sawmill.

What quantity, length, species, and widths are you looking for? (and remember, trees are tapered, hehehe... so the width will get smaller from one end to the other)
