Why do Mormon's wear the CTR ring?

and does CTR actually stand for "Choose The Right"??? and does "Right" mean right wing politics or is it another way of saying "What Would Jesus Do"???

What's wrong with reminding ourselves to choose good???? OOooooo that sounds scary, it must be cult-ish to want to constantly be doing good. We must all be brainwahsed!!! (I hope the sarcasim is being picked up here...)
Give me a break people.

And I wear one, I am 26. My grandpa wore one. My sister who is 20 wears one. It's not just for 7 or 8 year old kids. But sometimes an 8 year old gets one as a gift when they are baptized.

I'm a former Mormon. I do not believe in the faith any longer. But the CTR ring is a ring that kids in the 7 and 8 year old classes wear. It means Choose the Right. It's just a tool they use to help kids think about their actions. One thing Mormons are good at is training children. Brainwashing too.

It's been around longer, but it's just another way of saying "WWJD". It really does stand for Choose the Right, and does not mean anything nefarious or political.

Just another way of saying "what would Jesus do". There are many Mormons who are not "right wing". In fact, the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, is a Mormon and very liberal Democrat. Additionally, one of the top leaders in the chuch, President Faust, was a Democratic representative. Mormons are encouraged to vote according to their values and ideals, which does not always mean Republican. Most of my life I have been a Democrat, but have always voted for the better man, regardless of party affiliation, which is how it should be.
