Have you read or are you reading - "If On A winter's Night A Traveller" by Italo Calvino?

Please, please contact me if you have and let me know what you thought I'm specifically looking for someone who's reading it now(for obvious reasons to those who've read it) I love it and am desperate to know if any of his other books are worth reading also. Anyone who can, help me out by recommending more books like it, leaving me your views on it or any information on the author. Cheers.

Yes, ive read it a few times - it is absolutely one of my favourite books. Most of Calvino's other stuf is quite good as well. I would recommend 'Cosmicomics' and 'Invisible Cities', both also by him. They are very different in the way they are written, but still very entertaining.

And if you like Calvino, chances are you will also enjoy the writing of Jorge Luis Borges (I would recommend 'Ficciones', 'The Garden of Forking Paths', though all of his short stories are collected in one massive edition) and Umberto Eco ('Name of the Rose', "Baudolino")
