Do you think Cinderella is a good name to name my daughter?

i love the Disney princesses and i love the name Cinderella but i just don't want my child to get made fun of

i know her real name was Ella i just really like Cinderella and think it is a Beautiful name I'll ask My husband what he thinks about Ella tho hes not to fond of Cinderella either he would just go along with it to make me happy but like some of you said its about the child not about me

no, kids would make fun of her when she gets older...and she may come to dislike her name when she get older...however...Cinderella's real name is Ella. The stepmother/sisters nick named her Cinderella (because she slept near the fire side in the cinders). So calling the girl 'Cinderella' might apply servent-ship and mockery...however, Ella is a very pretty name and you can tell your child that she was named after the disney princess.

I think your gut feeling is that the name Cinderella just is not a real good choice. You can always call her that as a nickname though! Keep in mind that school children are ruthless and any name that is different will be used against her. Think up a classic name that evokes the lovliness of a princess!

I love that name..I do not think there is anything wrong with that. You could call her Cindy for short. It is good to be different. I named my daughter Izabella off of the show Days of Our Lives after Belle.

Ex: This girl in my class is named Lizbeth and people call her Lizard. Another is named jocelyn and they call her jolly rancher.

But you have to think of it for her in the long run, she will have a verry hard time fining a job and even in school she will be made fun of as you said you dont want... How about one of the more obscure princesses like Jasmine? Cinderella would definitely elicit a lot of attention (which princesses do need, I suppose), but this would get a lot of negative attention. Maybe a derivation of the name could work, Cindy, Ella--or maybe a first & second name combo...Instead of Cinderella, how about Cindy Ella--sorry, I tried!!
