PIN NUMBER REVERSAL "If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse. For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to The robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists." i got this from my friend. is it true?

wouldn't help much if your pin # is 1221.

also, nonsense. the police have trouble getting to calls dispatched by 911. if they responded to every idiot who keys their pin in wrong, they'd never do anything else. oh, wait!

Never heard such a thing. Your friend is lying to you. The best way to avoid robbers is never to use an ATM machine at night especially if the bank is in a dark area. There are some pin numbers is the same as reverse and forwards like 2332. How can that prevent robbers?

Funny how this email was sent all over the world - no way every country in the world can have the same response. People sitting in a dark little room with nothing better to do that to make up silly emails....
