Is SmitFraudfix a legitimate spyware detection tool?

Question

Is SmitFraudfix a legitimate tool to remove spyware and adware? I know that there are a lot of products trying to sell themselves online that are not good but a hoax. Has anyone ever had troubles with this tool? Also, what is a legitimate website for me to download it on?

Everybody who said that it installs malware is WRONG!

Yes, it is a legitimate adware removal tool - I've used it myself to clean a machine from the VirusBursters adware. It is free, too.

However, I wouldn't recommend it as a general-purpose adware/spyware removal tool. It removes only a relatively small class of adware programs (although it does a pretty good job removing them). If you want a free general-purpose adware/spyware removal tool, try Spybot Search & Destroy or AdAware.

I am not having any information on this...! But, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at
