Neighbors?

Any one here a law student or a property owner that has some insight into the laws concerning trees?

If it were not for my neighbors tree, my yard would be clutter and crap free. He just rang my bell and complained about my pool this morning and I have never once complained about his tree raining sap and leaves and branches all over my yard. I assumed we had an understanding to each look the other way and compromise, but I guess not?

1. Can I legally cut down what hangs over my driveway?
2. Does he have the right to allow HIS tree to litter my yard?
3. Is is his responsability to clean it up or mine?

We are in Florida...

Thanks in advance!

You can cut anything that's hanging over your side. You can rake up the leaves and place them, any way you want, on his property to dispose of. You "CAN" legally, make him clean up your yard if it is his waste.
