the recipe i've used for the last 5 years which nonmeat and meaters alike have loved goes like this.
get a bread ban.
losely wrap the tofurkey (thawed) in tin foil, leave a side open
add the following ingredients
one red or green apple very thinly sliced
one cup of dried berries (trader joes makes a great 4 berry blend - cherries, cranberries, blueberries and some other berry
one cup of crushed walnuts
one cup of fresh orange juice or all natural orange juice
1/2 cup of apricot preserves
1/2 cup of soy sauce

wrap up the tofurkey kinda tight in the foil and cook for 3 hours at 375. periodically baste the tofurkey with the juices you are cooking it in. or just flip the whole thing over in the foil in the pan.
tofurkey makes a gravy, but i don't think it goes well with this recipe. oh once it's cooked. some drain about 3/4 of the juice/soy that didn't absorb into the tofurkey, keep the rest. thinly slice the roast and throw all the fixings over the slices, lightly drizzle the rest of the orange soy over it all once it's sliced.
enjoy. happy tofurkey day!!

i wouldn't bother doing it at all. my son and i did it a couple years ago and decided it tasted horrible and it would be better to just do something else, just eat sides or find another veggie dish to make

We cook tofu in other ways: Take extra firm tofu & drain well. Squeeze out all water & wrap with paper towels, get as dry as possible. Slice into long slices. Quickly dredge in Olive Oil & then into Parmesean Cheese. Once coated, fry in a frying pan. Yummy!

Take the tofu, throw it out and add a turkey....deep frying in peanut oil even better!

Cut it thin the serve it with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Sounds delicious. I've done something similar, but I used plain, non-fat extra-firm tofu, and marinated it for three days in a heavy dose of sage, thyme, celeryseed, and salt. Tasted like real turkey, with the traditional extra-firm tofu texture.

Great way to dry the tofu: Wrap in paper towels after squeezing out as much water as possible. Pass thru microwave several times, squeezing out water (HOT!) each time, until REALLY FIRM!

Best Recipie: take the tofurky, season with salt, pepper, rosemary, and oregano. coat with butter preheat to 350 degrees and place tofurkey on an hickory plank, (buy them at any market) cook for 3 hours. remove from oven. Now this is the important step..Throw the tofurkey out and eat the plank.

Must agree with previous answers to toss the tofu. It's pretty good stir-fried or in miso soup, but no way can it be passed off as meat. As a dedicated carnivore (as in, for every animal you save, I'll eat two), the idea of eating bean curd molded into the shape of poultry is nauseating.

I like tofu, but I wouldn't eat this combination. Sorry, but it sounds more like a fruit salad to me.

what you do is: buy the tofurkey at trader joes. cook it at 375, smothered in the gravy. 1 1/2 hours, periodically re-smothering it. it's that simple....oh, and dont forget the mashed potatoes.

Tofurkey? You cornball.

Tofurkey dries out, so rub it with equal parts Dijon and mayo. Then, chop potatoes and butternut squash and toss them with olive oil, pepper, salt and rosmary. Cover the tofurkey with foil and sprinkle the veggies around it, open to roast until fork tender. Serve with cranberry sauce!

The recipe on the Tofurky box works great. Just make sure you triple wrap it with foil for baking, otherwise juice will ooze out and the Tofurky will be a little dry.
I posted photos on my blog so check them out -
